Harbour directs 2nd gas conference

Anchorage oil and gas maestro Dave Harbour is the program
chairman for a 2 1/2-day seminar, "Arctic Gas Pipelines, Opportunities in the
North," that is scheduled for April 29-30 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Houston.
The seminar, sponsored by Insight Information Co. of Kansas City, Mo., is
slated to include key players in the arctic gas pipelines debate from throughout
western Canada and Alaska.
This is Harbour's second stint chairing a natural gas conference in
Houston in the past year. Since developing his online public information news
service, Northern Gas Pipelines, two years ago, Harbour has emerged as a
leading ambassador of goodwill in the Alaska-Canada natural gas pipelines
debate.
"Opportunity is defined as a favorable juncture of circumstances, not a
guarantee of success." Harbour said of the upcoming event. "So, while we
may have encountered a 'favorable juncture' -- assuming the price of gas moves
where we expect it to in a few years -- we must now knit together
constituencies, agreements and bonds of corporate, community and personal
friendships in such a way that very complex projects can be accomplished."
