Author took
"High Chapparel" star, Lief Erickson,
to Arctic Gas' Prudhoe Bay Test Facility in the mid 1970s to make a film, "The
Arctic, The Wildlife, a Pipeline." The film won an award and was well received
nationally. Lief, now deceased, was a plain spoken, cigar chompin' hero...well
liked by all who came to know him. Later, Anchorage ad agency Murray, Kraft &
Rockey (i.e. now,
Bradley/Reid),
hired him as Tesoro Alaska's spokesman.
