Northern Gas Pipelines: About the Author
Our current organization.
From February 1, 2003 until the present, this website continues to be maintained by
founder's family with no outside financial support.
This website has always been a public service
effort. It's Founder, Dave Harbour, desired to see the Arctic Gas project
he supported as a young professional finally come to completion in some modern
form. He did not support any particular gas pipeline route, yet he
supported them all. He
especially supported 'due process' and free enterprise concepts for resolving the many issues and alternatives. The
Arctic Gas reference materials and observations he provided were for historical,
research and perhaps entertainment purposes, not promotional.
His readers appreciated the archive he provided.
Mr. Harbour believed that North America desperately needs Arctic energy and
that
Alaskan and Canadian northerners are anxious to provide it. He said the prosperity of a
whole new generation could depend on its success. "Success will reflect stakeholders' effectiveness in building and maintaining sufficient relationships, cooperation, diplomacy, communication channels and appropriate compromise."
We are pleased to retain a page describing Mr. Harbour's profile, outlining
former work with client companies, governments, non-profit organizations in
addition to other entrepreneurial and public service projects,
here. The links shown in the
left margin refer to 'Author'. During the course of his work with
Northern Gas Pipelines, he usually identified himself as, 'your author';
accordingly, the links refer to his prior contributions, not to the work of
current authors.
